I am academically trained as a structural engineer with expertise in earthquake engineering (or thats what I like to believe). During my PhD, I have worked on design of friction dampers in multistorey framed buildings for seismic response reduction. I have interest in astronomy, computers, programming and linux-world. I believe that everything is boring until you dive deeper into it and I find geotechnical engineering boring :D.
